This is a key question for me that I would like an answer to: whether yes or no. I keep my 800 because it plays CDs well and DVD-As very well - however, I only have about 20 of the latter and thousands of the former. If 800 is never going to get apodizing, or it is very unlikely, then I may investigae 808 somewhat more aggressivly. If 800 is going to get apodizing, or it being seriously considerd, then I'll keep 800 and see. It would be usful to know one way or the other.
