Actually I find Trifield very good for continental satellite TV but less so for UK TV (DTV and DSS) where I generally use DPL THX. I wonder if this is because it provides clearer voice from the foreign (to me) channels so I have a better chance of translating (some!) on the fly?
In the spirit of Spinaltap, I would like to confirm that I am not involved in the corrupt theft of a global sport.

I have a G68XXV and I'm using passive speakers. Martin Logan CLX's for the mains and Martin Logan Theater for the center. When I had Martin Logan Prodigy's as the mains, Trifield was great but not so impressive after upgrading to the new CLX model so I stop using Trifield. I was going to play with some of the adjustments suggested in this thread but just got a call that my 861 v6 is shipping. Is there a difference between the 861 v6 Trifield and the G68XXV Trifield?

Is there a difference between the 861 v6 trifield and the G68XXV trifield? Yes. In 861v6 the Trifield width adjustment works, in the G68 it does not 'function as described' and as per earlier models.

Maybe they laid off the software development group? Seems a little strange that a company such as Meridian isn't following up with firmware updates to address known bugs. I don't expect an update monthly but one every 6-12 months should not be unrealistic expectation on current model equipment.

I'd guess that they're all concentrating on the McLaren & Range Rover products - some might say at the cost of their core business - but who knows what the balance of their business model is any more ? Perhaps the automotive part of the business is now their core ?
