Also, run Sonos controller software! And be an iPhone w/o a plan. Hmmm does that mean the iPhone will drop in price?
Very interesting development ... now I am thinking that I will wait on buying the iTouch I was planning to buy.

OK, not being an Apple user, can someone tell me how to spec & config a served system for an 861/DSP8000 set-up with an iPad?
I'd certainly rather interact with this than a bulky Sooloos wired touch panel.
Also, care to speculate on price, quality, ease of use vs. a Sooloos 861V6/808.3 combo?
Very interested to hear views!

Mac Mini and an iPad will do what you want, total cost around �1000 and has a seriously slick interface too.
I can't wait for this iPad, if only as an awesome remote for playing back media files.
