What appears *fantastic* is that the architecture/MIPS of the 861 and G6x appears unchanged, which means apodizing for existing processor owners. smile

Note also that the new G61R does not have coax digital outputs. Meridian appears to have made a brave decision to move to SpeakerLink *only* with immediate effect. This is going to kill new processor sales for existing customers who do not have SpeakerLink DSPs (unless the AC11 will accept SpeakerLink and output coax).

Obvious questions:

1) What happened to the 861v5?
2) Can the Sooloos card be added to the 808.2?
3) Is Meridian going to drop the G68ADV, G68AXV, G68XXV, G68AXD, G68XXD with immediate effect? (given that the new G61R is SpeakerLink-only).
4) Will existing G61Rs and G68s be upgradeable to a MMHR input card (at least). I have my doubts...

I have to say that I can see the attraction for Meridian of a single G61R (which covers SpeakerLink and unbalanced analogue) and a single G68 (which covers SpeakerLink and balanced analogue). There are going to be some unhappy punters though...
