Nope. I gave away my spare copy a few months back.

OTOH, one should grab any of the recordings in this series as they are getting scarce, especially the Mozart and the Penderecki.

Well I recently saw The Killers and WOWOWOWOW - just a great FUN concert. I immediately bought their live concert @ the Royal Albert Hall. Fantastic! Great sound (as usual at the Hall) and picture, just awesome...if you dig The Killers highly recommended.

I don't know if this recommendation is already made, but Pink Martini is truly a great band! They currently have 4 CD's out, each of them is great (and recorded at a excellent quality-level!) It is a 12-persons band, playing all different kind of music (from salsa to french-influences to mediteranian music. Does it pretty well in the summer (although winter is also good ;-) )

This looks to be a fascinating innovative audio and video experience that I have not yet experienced. The performances are recorded in high-resolution (24-bit/96kHz) PCM sound.

It is available now, eg at:

Verdi, "La Forza del Destino", TDK BD.

At first, ones heart sinks when one realises that two lithe young lovers and a young avenger have been cast by three midde-aged obese people. Of these, tenor Marcello Giordani is a little unsteady in his singing but improves as the opera progresses. Violeta Urmana sings with poise, beauty, and well-judged timing throughout in a performance that is augmented by her expressive facial features. The opera is staged traditionally at Florence under the baton of Zubin Mehta. The gusto of the orchestra is faithfully rendered by the DTS HD Master 7.1 recording. Indeed, the sound throughout is impressive and enjoyable. Given how this opera is so packed with wonderful music it deserves to be better known. Camera work shows a good repertoire of angles and distances that enhances our experience (for me, the rather static camera work, with a lack of close-ups, rather let down the BD of Handel's "Semele" on Decca.)

Thanks for That Roger, I missed it. Am a Huge Faces Fan (My Era). Great to see Ronnie Lane again, Sadly Missed and so under rated.
Not much decent Video of so many of the old groups about.
May I recomend "Free Forever" A DVD with all off Free's Live Archive beautifully restored. Not that much material but the best stuff is there. "Mr big", "Ride on Pony" etc.
I will record that Faces Track next time its on if its not on a DVD anywhere.

Cheers, Chris smile

Faces Fans, there is also the best of the faces "Good Boys, When they're asleep". a 40th aniversary release with an unreleased track "Open To Ideas" on it, which I am listening to on my F80 as I type. A good Laid back number in the style of "If Loving you is wrong" if that helps.
Keep the faith, Chris smile
