Can anybody suggest wallet friendly way to send a pair of DSP5000s from the UK to Australia?

I've tried the 'normal' budget parcel sites but they are coming back with estimates just short of £400. They also seem to focus on quick delivery which is not essential in this instance.

A long shot, but try to see if there is someone out there that would allow you to use space in their container?

There we go, a business idea if one does not already exist - an app to allow you to rent out space in an ISO container...

Hi Tarik
17,000 miles for less than UK pounds 400. Less than 2.4p per mile including pick up and local delivery cry You could always try deck cargo on a submarine but I would not advise this as an option. I would opt for the quick carrier by air whistle .

Try to find an Australian forum, ex-pat or otherwise; people on there will probably know the best / cheapest ways. But, £400 doesn't seem bad to me for 2 large, heavy boxes.

Quick update. While I could not find anything substantially cheaper, what I did notice is that the price fluctuates like a commodity. In the end it cost £350 (fully insured) via interparcel, using the parcelforce service. Sent on the 26/03 and arrived on the 4/4. No damage to the factory boxes in which they were shipped.
