Is anyone aware of an AV receiver complete with amplification, DVD spinner and 4k-Ultra HD capabilities,
i.e a G95 with UHD/4k look alike??

Hi,

I’m not aware of anything that would do that. Your Arcam Solo Movie, is probably the closest option. You could just add a UHD player to your system _ the Sony ones look quite slim. Obviously, you wouldn’t have any Atmos capability but you’ll still have the benefits of the sound quality from your Arcam system.

I take it that you’re not as completely enamoured with the Solo Movie as you were on initial purchase.

Not at all - I am delighted with the Arcam but planning to move to 4k TV etc. soon so will need to upgrade.
Will probably go for Marantz AV receiver and Oppo 203 or 205.

Just at planning stage at the moment and have not decided which TV but LG is looking good or Loewe if I can afford it.

Among the options that I’m considering is buying an Atmos capable soundbar, with active rears - and then buying a separate stereo system.

None of it will have ‘Meridian’ printed on it.
