Given the MS200 has an IR sensor, that might even be cheaper than the G12...

The SW1600 can just daisy chain in with the sub.

You could even add a regular sub with the 218 and plug it into the pre outs and set them to variable and have your 33s plugged in as normal.

I guess you could do that with the MS200 as well using the headphone out on it.

You still need a speakerlink to comms/coaxial to be able to control the volume from roon etc.

Yeah, could be a better option all round.

If I used a MS200 with Roon into a pair of DSP33's, how would I get feedback regarding the volume level? Could the 561 be connected somehow (i.e. such that it does not have to pass the audio and therefore limit the sampling frequency to 48kHz)

Thx,

Tim

If it's just Roon, MS200 and D33s, the volume control info is bi-directional from MS200 to Roon. Roon will display the volume.

If you use an AC12 the 562 Comms can be connected so you can view and control volume from there.

Disclaimer: I’ve only done this with a 518. But I think it’d be the same.

That's interesting!

Has anyone else tried this?

Thanks
Tim

Tim, as VK posted, with Roon you see the volume on your tablet and need no other equipment.
If you don't like that, you can use either AC12, Reviver or homemade SL-DIN comms cable and a device just to see the volume.

AC12 and Reviver also makes beside the communication the impedance matching of the digital audio signal when you want to use SL/Cat cable.
