Which reminds me, the second MS200 was working until I clicked static IP on it's status page. When I did that the browser shut down and I could not log on to it's status page after that.
The static IP address you have assigned is on a different network therefore you are now unable to connect to your MS200, Meridian do not provide a method of resetting it so you will need to use Sooloos config to identify its IP address, a C10 or C15 would also identify it and you may be able to see it via your router logs?

Once you have the IP address you will need to plug a laptop directly into the MS200 using a standard LAN cable, reconfigure the laptop to be on the same subnet as the MS200 and you should then be able to access it by browsing to its IP address, then change it back to DHCP at which point you will lose the web page, then reconfigure your PC back to DHCP and you should be back where you started before you clicked on fixed IP.

Going forward if you don’t plan to use a fixed IP address then I would blank out the fields on the config screen this will avoid accidental setting.

Have you tried turning off/disconnecting MS200 and just trying with 218?

Double check by rebooting your IP control device, switches and router but shouldnt strictly be necessary as LAN routing is done by MAC address not IP address so it will at least mean the any rogue IP to MAC address mapping is flushed from the system.

That will tell you if IP conflicts is the problem.

Thanks Carl.

Russ,

Andrew

Hi Ian,

Disconnected and turned off the MS200's. Rebooted router and switch and my iPhone. Also installed IP control on another iPad.

Same result. Discovers the 218 but gets a failed connection message.

Also, worked out why I am having trouble getting Sooloos configure program up and running on windows 10.

My operating system is X64 and the Sooloos config program is X32.

I've got to hunt down another laptop.

Thanks with all of your help. Once I get Sooloos config running I'll try and follow Ratbergs advice.

Regards,
Andrew

X64 Windows can run X32 programs (I run Sooloos Configuration on Windows 10 64bit without issue).

Much more likely is that you need to enable .NET 3.5 services on Windows (some OEMs default these to disabled).

Carl

Thanks Carl,

Checked and do have 3.5 running. Must be something else. Good to know that it will be able to run. Probably just an unhealthy pc.

Good news!

Found someone to bring a laptop over and got the Sooloos config program up and running. Found the missing 218 and MS200 and changed their IP addresses from static to DHCP.

They are both up and running and sound great. Pretty chuffed to have the 218 integrated into my G68/analogue system and having the blue light on when playing MQA directly into my mono’s.

My dodgy PC has now died completely and won’t boot but all is very good in my musical world.

Thanks to everyone for their help, much appreciated!

Cheers,
Andrew

So can we conclude that the issue was incorrect fixed IP addresses?
