So that I can eliminate one of the possibilities of solving the problem with my G95...

With no previous experience, I would be grateful for the Idiot/Basic/101/ABC/Janet&John guide to flashing the Firmware on my G95.

I have Windows 10 Pro running on my laptop (with USB 2.0 ports only).

What precise USB to RS232 cable do I need to buy?

What software/Firmware do I need to download - and from where?

My Mac can go all the way to XI - Mac user since 1988.

I think it's the Keyspan RS232 null modem cable you need.

The Wiki has a few more details.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

You could use this cheaper option from Star Tech.

Follow the "Firmware Release Notes" link at the bottom of this page and then download and install the "Meridian Flash Upload Program".

For the G95 firmware itself; that is available from your local dealer or failing that I suggest you contact one of the HH friendly dealers that post on here.

I'll PM you their contact details, I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Regards,
Carl

Does G95 have USB maintenance port? If so, it has integrated FTDI USB/serial converter so you just need the VDI drivers from FTDI website.
