Folks,

I have a problem where my C15 device settings won't appear on screen either on the unit's display or in the PC version of the Meridian Sooloos Configuration program. All other device settings appear instantly.

At the same time I have lost my TuneIn and Tidal account login capabilities. I have deleted both accounts and set them up again without any success. Very annoying and this problem just appeared out of the blue.

Appreciate any suggestions to sort these problems.

Cheers,
Steve M

PS: 2:26am here and I am going to bed so will check for any advice in the morning and answer any questions that may be asked in the interim.

Obvious one, reboot, in fact shutdown and power off all Sooloos devices, network switches and your broadband router, then power up one at a time, router first then switches then Sooloos core device then any other Sooloos devices.

Russ,

Thanks for the suggestion and I should have mentioned that I had already tried the full shutdown routine without success.

Thanks,

Steve M

IIRC wasn’t there a setting on the C15 to hide the settings? Not being facetious but it presented a simpler screen whereby users couldn’t muck about so much. You haven’t accidentally got this view?

It would seem that you are having troubles with the network interface if you cannot see the C15 in Sooloos configure. I am not aware of you network topography so here are some suggestions:

1. Have you tried a new ethernet cable between the C15 and the rest of the network?

2. Have you tried connecting the C15 directly to the router if it isn't already?

3. Have you done any recent service of the C15 like replacing the battery that may have upset or loosened any connections between the motherboard and the back panel connectors?

Please check the above and report back

Hi ncpl re C15
It is possible with SYSTEM SETTINGS "Security" to select:

1 Hide Transport Controls
2 Hide Volume Controls
3 Hide Explore
4 Hide Focus
5 Hide Swim
6 Disable Editing
7 Disable Fast Zone Switching
8 Disable "Play All Tracks"
9 Disable "Play Next/Play Now"
10 Require Pin To Make Changes
11 Hide Meridian Source Control

It is a long shot if these settings are the OP's problem.

Thanks Hector. Definitely a long shot but I recall forgetting I had changed that once and wondered where all the controls had gone.

Have you restarted the C15 without network connection?

Okay everyone, thanks for your suggestions.

For clarity, I can see all the devices on the Sooloos network which are the ControlFifteen (V2.535 Device Build: 472), ID41 (V1.1 Device Build: 169), MS200 (V1.0 Device Build: 169) and Control:PC (V2.535 Device Build 472). These all appear in BOTH, the Meridian Sooloos Configuration programme (V33) on my PC and under the Device Manager.

If I click on each of the MS200, ID41 or Control:PC in either the C15 Device Manager or the Meridian Sooloos Configuration programme, the settings appear instantly. However if I click ControlFifteen, in the Meridian Sooloos Configuration programme, the screen changes to loading and just cycles the loading bar, i.e. it hangs. On the C15 Device Manager, the screen changes to loading settings and has a stationary loading symbol which is a circle like a clock face, i.e. it also hangs.

Yes I have rebooted with the network disconnected with no change to the problem. The only security setting checked was to set a pin.

Except for the ability to log into my TuneIn and Tidal accounts, the system works fine. I can play music on all zones including the digital out from the C15 on the network and even from the C15 digital out, even it is not connected to the internet or network. I discovered the C15 Device Settings problem looking for a reason why I had lost access to both my TuneIn and Tidal accounts. I am sure if I can solve this problem, I will be able to regain access to my accounts.

This problem just came out of the blue when suddenly I received emails on the C15 saying that my account logins failed for TuneIn and Tidal. My accounts work on other logins such as iPads and iPhone apps. I thought it may have been the consequence of a remote software update. I am at my wit's end trying to solve this.

I hope this extra info now clarifies my current C15 status.

Appreciate any assistance to solve this although I think I may have to get Meridian help via remote access.

Cheers,
Steve M

Thanks for the suggestion but no change Russ.

The C15 will happily play music via the network through to the ID41, MS200 and Control:PC. It is seen via the network on my PC in the Sooloos Configuration programme.

I will pull the hard drive out and give it a scan to see if there are any bad sectors on the drive.

Keep the suggestions coming. I will try anything to sort this.

Cheers,
Steve M

Are you running core on the C15? If yes then do you have any other device you could run core on, if you are not running core on the C15 try it and see if the issue changes.

Maybe a dealer could chip in??
