For the first time I have a green light on the MQA light, on my Prime when playing MQA. Other albums illuminate the blue light as usual.

Can't find anything to explain it, and Roon says MQA 96K.

Anyone else get his?

Thanks,

Richard

I think t means that it is MQA but not authenticated. So quality but not providence.

218 lights green too, so consistent.

Ears still say sounds great.

More to discover.

My understanding is the MQA green light means it can decode/render as MQA, but the master audio file has not been Studio Authenticated, which is verified by the blue light.

In other words, the MQA production team was not working with the studio engineer relative to info regarding the ADC used during the original recording etc. when they encoded the MQA remaster.

An MQA with a blue light indicates the best filter parameters were used to encode as MQA based on accurate studio info on the gear used during recording, hence the term "Studio Authentication".
