Good to see that the 203-205 Opportunity UHD players have now become visible as RAAT network players with the latest firmware update.

Oppo UK Firmware

It doesn't handle Multichannel yet but if enough people ask for it Oppo are a very receptive company ...

If the Oppo had any room correction capability, would pretty much make my 861 obsolete, at least from a functionality perspective.

It's fantastic that Oppo are now supporting RAAT, but at the same time quite I'm disappointed that Oppo are not / can not support multichannel via RAAT.

I was waiting for Roon support before purchasing but for now at least an Oppo is off my shopping list ... which is a great shame.

Probably explains one of the reasons why Meridian didn't take up the suggestion of incorporating MRC filters directly within the DSP speakers.

Shame as missing piece of jigsaw for some 8x8 owners.

I would bet that Oppo will get to MCH long before M as their endpoints and USB inputs are all limited to stereo. When they signed up with Caskeid it seemed not unreasonable to expect MCH too.

Interesting that although M are still listed on CASKEID website as ' Strategic Partners ' whatever that means , MQA are now listed as 'Technology Partners ' too and 7Digital are listed as 'Content Providers' .

No mention of either Roon or Tidal as yet .
