Can someone please advise how to / if I can disable the 218 as a private zone when streaming roon?

I am hoping to group it with a Raspberry Pi or a squeeze box to to have 2 or more zones playing the same tunes together

At present, you can't group endpoints/zone of different technologies in Roon. 218 is Meridian/Sooloos, Raspberry Pi will be RAAT (if you install RoonBridge on it), and Squeezebox is Squeezebox.

Thanks VK,
Any chance of this maybe changing down the track?

Plan for the mean time will be to use both the 218 and a Pi Roon bridge hooked up to the G68 to get the best of both worlds. Just working on how to switch between sources, / bypass the 218 using it's web interface. Once that's sorted and all will be good.

I posted Brian's response in your thread on the Roon forum. I say never say never, but we have an awful lot of work which is higher priority (for now).

I've planned my endpoints around this limitation. Slowly but surely though, I'm migrating everything to RAAT endpoints.

What's the chance of Meridian endpoints ever natively supporting RAAT? It would be nice if Sooloos would natively support RAAT, then we could use the R-Pi bridge with Sooloos.

I can link my Explorer 2 with Bluesound endpoint FYI

That's because they are both using RAAT. The Bluesound is Roon Ready (= uses RAAT) and USB devices are driven via RAATServer which is bundled with Roon, RoonServer, and RoonBridge.

So even if Sooloos supported RAAT endpoints, it wouldn't have the server functionality needed to drive the USB?

I was looking for second hand MS200's as Roon endpoints. Can these be linked with Raspberry Pi's for dual sound? No dramas if they can't. The Pi's are excellent value for money.

MS200's work well with ROON but are not RAAT devices which is a shame.

They can't be linked to Raspberry Pi's unfortunately.
