My understanding is that the 64 bit version will overwrite the 32 bit Sooloos core without uninstalling it - is that correct?

Correct, there is no need to manualy remove the 32 bit version ... the 64 bit installer takes care of it.

No, although not had chance to spend much time on it tbh. I did try installing Control:Mac on a MacBook (I don't usually use my Mac for Sooloos) and that seems to be working fine, so issue appears to be isolated to Windows.

After receiving a security alert from QNAP yesterday strongly suggesting the latest updates due to some hacking concerns, have decided to update my TS-669 Pro. This NAS has not been updated since the original installation a few years back.

Reading the preceding instructions in this post (very helpful!), it looks pretty straightforward - however thought I'd check before diving in:

Has anyone else successfully updated the TS-669 Pro to QTS 4.3.3 and then the Sooloos app with Sooloos_QNAP_QTS_4.3.x.qpkg? Any reason this should not work?

PS - have read various threads in this forum in the past and greatly benefited. Thanks to all who post here.

I may be posting prematurely, but latest build of QTS 4.3.3.0188 appears to have fixed my Control:PC continuous screen refreshing issue.

Yesterday, after updating my smooth-running TS-469L I could not connect to the QNAP Meridian interface at all and iOS and PC/Mac devices requested that I update Sooloos.

I reinstalled a few times but nothing.

I figured I'd see if I could connect to the file station and was successful but something was off... the folder list was much shorter than usual, I was missing about 5-6 folders the root directory, including the Sooloos one.

A bit of heart thumping ensued till I mistakenly logged in to the server as a guest user and saw everything in its place. Being guest, I could not modify anything but at least it was there.

The QNAP update seems to have swapped admin privileges with one of my 2 children that only have access to their home folders on the NAS for backing up their devices.

After modifying them and running quickly through the Meridian QNAP install file I saw that the 4.3.3 update also changed the web port back to 80 from 81, all is running smooth with Sooloos and this update.

The NAS however in general is not. It does not let me add shortcuts to apps on the desktop, only in the lower left sidebar. After updating a Q app and getting the request to add to the desktop, that one worked.

My network setting page is blank!!!

I can connect just fine but port trunking seems dead and the second interface is not connecting, showing a string of zeros as the port MAC address. The IP, DNS's and any radio button on that page are blank or unselected and do not retain changes (that I can tell as when I leave the page and return, they're gone).

All this to say that if you update and find you lost Sooloos and its folder, don't panic check your access privileges first.
