Hi,

OK, you shouldn't have to worry about your TV input _ the HD621 should be connected to the MMHR or the multichannel digital inputs (e.g. MD-1) on the G65.

Toony

Do you get different behaviours if you use different remotes.

The MSR remote works via your controller (G65?).

When you change sources and adjust volumes with the MSR does that work with the centre and rear speakers?

I am trying to establish where your comms is broken.

Cheers
Tom

Rears and centre do not turn on full stop since adding the 218

Can you try setting the 218 to controller and then restart. (218 - Comms configuration)

cheers

Hi Toony

I'm assuming that you know what a controller is, but let me know if you don't.

Have you been able to access the 218 configuration program yet? There is an area where you can change the comms configuraiton. This area allows you to make the 218 a controller. I was suggesting that you make this configuration change. Then store the setting and then restart the 218 by removing the power and reinserting.

Cheers
Tom

I have already configured it in the config program. Everything set to SL apart from when SLS is selected. So it is a controller?

This is all setup fine but my centre and rears dont work anymore

I am trying to create a phantom input on G65 for the SLS button that will be set as stereo to turn off rear speakers when listening to MQA. I have made another MC200 and set DSP presets to stereo discrere stereo discrete.

When I now select SLS on G65 it displays SLS on display but DSP stays on whatever it was before but the rear and centre do stop so it's obviously doing job. I guess it won't display stereo as there is no audio input on SL2.

One snag I think is if my Humax box is playing a genuine 5.1 output then my DSP settings above will trigger as discrete and I will still get the rears playing.

Any thoughts?

I would be tempted to leave your system alone for a while and give it a good test before creating new phantom sources. It will be much easier to troubleshoot if something goes wrong down the line.

I would start by testing sources and DSP with app and MSR.

If you really want to go further now, I might consider a rollback to pre 218 to see if your customisation worked as intended before the 218 was introduced. You may still have some commms issues.

I have everything up and running now. Just needed a comms cable.

All source switching works perfectly now.

My only comcern is what the 218 is adding to the g65 output when acting as a SL passthrough. There are loads of settings in the 218 that look like they may further adjust the signal before reaching the DSP's.
