I moved my Sooloos albums over to a QNAP NAS which is running Roon and I have an MC600 which is linked to various in-ceiling speakers in separate rooms/zones within my home. On advice from HHTG, on the MC600, to reduce conflicts between Sooloos and Roon, I have switched the core and drives off. The Roon system is functioning very well via the MC600 zones.

While I can see the MC600 IP address using a network scan utility, it no longer appears on the Meridian Sooloos Configuration utility and I cannot use a web browser to log-in to web page or debug page. Hence I suspect that my MC600 is no longer receiving firmware updates - which also means the ID41 card (frontpage/ID41 Status page showing build 169) in my 861v8 is not receiving updates.

Is anyone else in a similar position and knows of a work around so that firmware updates will promulgate through my Sooloos devices? Would it simply be a matter of connecting a laptop directly into the MC600 and switching the core back on to get the update? And then, switching off again until the next one?

Sadly, the MC600 is not recognised as an "earlier product" on M's website but not sure that is part of the issue.

Later versions of the Meridian Sooloos Config programme (Windows only) allow firmware to be pushed out to Sooloos kit without the need for a Sooloos Core to be running.

See this topic Meridian Sooloos Configuration Program v28.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

You should be able to reactivate the Sooloos core just for the update. You hear about them here.

That's what I do with my MC200 and MS200 zones.
Sooloos and Roon both work for me without issue, although I only use Roon.

Just my experience. Chris

I have v31 but no device was showing up. I recently updated my Win10 software - now I see all of the Sooloos gear and can simply turn core and drives back on for the update and then off again. While I wonder what it was that changed, I am not going to dwell on it.

Thanks for taking the time to assist.
