Hi All,

I have a 568 running in to a pair of DSP3100HC's as mains, with two analogue subwoofer outputs feeding a G56 into a passive sub on each side, Left and Right. (And it sounds great).

My main Left is Controller and Master.

The mains are connected over SPDIF and DIN Meridian Comms.

My centre is a DSP3300 connected by SpeakerLink, via an AC11.

When in modes where the centre is active, the volume of the centre does not change with the volume of the mains and subs, even though the 568 is controlling the volume of the analogue subs ok.

Any ideas why the volume control is not carrying over to the SpeakerLink?

Thanks,
Jason.

Have you got the comms connection right between the 568 and 3100s to the AC11 ?

I used to have a front trio of DSP3100HC. Sounded great.

My DIN comms goes AC11 - 568 - 3100Master - 3100Slave

Maybe I should make the 568 the controller, then wire the DIN comms 568 - AC11 - 3100Master - 3100Slave

DIN comms is simply a bus, so it shouldn't matter where they go.

I'm thinking I need to make the 568 the controller anyway, instead of the master 3100, as I can only change treble, bass, axis, and phase, no DSP menu items are available.

Cheers,
Jason.

I always have the processor as controller.

Is this only happening in Trifield?

I assume the center turns on/off with the other DSP speakers? Master speaker should be the first device in the comms chain. Usually best if tbe 568 is the controller.

I'm not sure if the DSP3300 centre turns off, I'll check the green LED on the back, which should be bright when on, dim when off.

Having the Master speaker first in the comms chain is difficult, as I imagine it would be in many situations.

If the chain went:

568 - Master - Slave - AC11, then the Slave to AC11 would be a return cable run.

I'll set the 568 as Controller, and wire the DIN up as 568 - AC11 - Master - Slave and see how that goes.

Cheers,
Jason
