I had fished 30 feet of the cables to my rear speakers in my old house. When it was time to move last week I was unable to pull the cables through the wall. I decided to cut the end off the cables (COMMS and the other kind). Is it possible to splice those cables back together? Solder them? I have a home theater installer coming in a few days and don't have time to order new cables before he gets here.

Simple answer is 'yes' your cables can be reterminated with DIN comms and phono digital connectors (assuming that's what you have).

Looking at your equipment profile, you could get your installer to run Shielded Cat6 cable in the walls (to the speaker positions) and use your Revivers from that point on.
