It happened two or three times already.

After some time, either while playing music or during standby, my right DSP8000.2 start to sound a continuous buzz or hum (not sure if there is a technical difference).

I power it off, and back on, and everything goes back to normal.

Shall I be worried? Can I do something about it?

Thanks

Jerome

Is it transformer hum or do you hear it amplified through the speakers?

I think it's from the speakers

You will need to isolate if it is one or both speakers. If both, then see if it goes away when you unplug the digital cable from the master. Are both speakers connected to the same electrical circuit and if not, the same phase? Does lifting the ground help (not recommended as a permanent solution)?

Unfortunately this sounds like you might need a new amp board for the speaker. I have just had a dsp5200 repaired with exactly this problem. Buzz which comes on over time and even when the speaker is placed in standby but disappears temporarily when it is turned off and back on again.

If it is the same issue as mine, the problem will get progressively worse over time.

Thanks for the heads up. No exactly what i wanted to hear, but I'll keep monitoring. At least I'm prepared...
