Hi,

My PRIME HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER has stopped working on my PC. The Meridian USB control panel not seeing that it's connected. Its see's when my EXPLORER² is connected. I have also tried connecting to a different PC. Again it see's my EXPLORER² but not my Headphone amp. On the front the lights that come on are, 4x, power, USB and ASP o.

It seems to me the USB port has died as the analog inputs still work.

PC driver is, 3.34.1

Has anyone had the same experience? If so do I need to send it off for repair or is there a reset I can do.

If I do need to send it for repair, can someone recommend someone to repair it for me.

Regards
Gary Giles

As the Prime is a current Meridian product, it should go back to base.

Have you registered it with Meridian? If so, it should be under warranty.

If you purchased from a Meridian dealer take it back to them and get them to sort it out.

Have you tried a new USB cable, also try removing and reinstalling the driver, not saying that is the issue but has to be worth trying?

Hi Gary
I do not see the Prime in your Kit List. Am I correct to assume you do not have the Prime Power Supply.

Hi

No I don't, do you think this could be the issue. The analogue inputs work fine.

The prime power supply is a seperate product that is optional.

I would take a look at Device Manager, as on my PC, the digital signature of the drive was causing problems after I reinstalled Windows 10. I suspect this may be the source of the problem, and there is a workaround.

Just had alook in device manager, its not showing in there either. Not even as none loaded device. As soon as I plug in Explorer 2 in, it shows up on my device manager.

Thoughts?

Worth trying this advice I was given:

'Click restart when holding SHIFT key. Then select troubleshoot, then advanced options, restart and choose 7. Something about not needing certification for drivers.'

Hope that is the right sequence.
