Anyone knows if Sooloos will be available as a source for their automotive system?
This would be a dream implementation with 29 speakers and touchscreen.

Isn't is supposed to be possible to listen to your library from your phone?
If so, could you not extend that to a car?

iTunes sync is required to listen on your iPod, to listen in your car you take your iPod and plug it into the connector in your glove box smile . Seriously, I have about a 5 year old Alpine car stereo that was state-of-the-art and now is worse than the standard iPod integration offered in most cars, it seriously lacks a good UI to quickly search and browse a large 30,000 track collection. A big part of having a large collection is the ability to browse and select the music for your mood and your audience. In the USA, a lot of the car stereo tech is related to voice command activation. It is in every new car commercial.

I would *love* to buy a Sooloos UI enabled car stereo with Meridian audio prowess built-in. I hope in the next few years it gains traction amongst the car manufacturers and car stereo builders.

I listen to my Spotify tracks from my iPhone in the car. It would be perfect if Meridian team up with Spotify on working it into Sooloos. That would be perfect!

My Girlfriend and I are considering an Evoke for our next car. I'm very interested to hear what the Meridian system sounds like. Has any HH bought an Evoke. It would be great to hear their thoughts on the system.

They spec the current front end as a development from Harmann. So Sooloos implementation is not so easily done technically. Cost and retail pricing is likely another.

Over the last few years I have had the high end audio in my BMW M3's and X5 and the Harman RR Vouge. My Meridian 825 system in the Evoque is head and shoulders above those... Highly recommended.
