Hi all

Greg very kindly sent me a EPROM chip to upgrade my 565 to Z3 7.1 status.

Are there any instructions to follow or is it relatively easy? I do not want to mess up a perfectly working 565?

Many thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon, I take it you are just fitting the Eprom. I replaced mine and it was straight forward provided your used to this kind of thing.

Safty first, unplug from mains.

Then you have to open it up. I think there was a thread on this.
The chip is easy to see, take a photo first for reference if unsure.

It is just a simple carefull remove and replace. Take static precautions, earth straps. Note which way round the chip goes.

Re-assemble and thats it. You will need to reset your configurations and enjoy.

The latest is 6.2a which should give you Meridian DVD in comms and a DVD label.

Good Luck, Chris smile
